Martina Sáblíková, speed skater, three-time winner of the Winter Olympics in 2010 (Vancouver) and 2014 (Sochi), multiple world champion in the 3000 m, 5000 m and combined. She began her professional sports career on a frozen pond due to a lack of athletic facilities. In Vancouver 2010, Martina Sáblíková won three medals, two golds (3000 and 5000 m) and one bronze (1500 m), in Sochi 2014, she succeeded to defended her title in 5000 m, while also winning a silver medal in the 3000 m. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, she won silver in the 5000 m. At her fourth Olympics in Beijing 2022, she won a bronze medal in the 5000 m. She also achieved success in road cycling. She has more than 15 medals from the championship of the Czech Republic, in 2007 she won a bronze medal in the time trial at the under-23 European Championship. She was awarded the title of the Czech Sportsperson of the Year twice, in 2007 and 2009.
