Marium Mukhtiar was a Pakistani fighter pilot. She embraced martyrdom when a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) FT-7PG aircraft crashed near Kundian in Mianwali District, northwestern Punjab, Pakistan on November 24, 2015. She was the first female Pakistani fighter pilot to be martyred in the line of duty. Marium Mukhtiar was among about 20 female fighter pilots in the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), which only began inducting women in combat roles in 2006.
